Sometimes, you have a task that you want to delegate to a colleague who does not use Doit (ex: sending him an email asking to do it).
It that case, it would be interesting to have "fake contacts" to whom we may delegate tasks.
Example of a use case:
My colleague John Doe does not use Doit, but I would like to delegate him the task "Complete the weekly project report". I want to send him an email asking him to complete this task, and to have the Doit task sorted under his name in the "Waiting For" seciton.
I would go like this:
1- Create a non-Doit contact for John Doe
2- Ask John Doe to complete the weekly project report (by email, or phone)
3- Delegate the task to "Virtual John Doe" in Doit
4- Have the task appear under his name in "Waiting For" until I get the weekly project report.
5- Mark as complete
I second this request as it is a use case I encounter and wish I could easily send a decent e-mail with all the data easily from within the tool without having the contact managed in DO.It at all, just prompt for an e-mail address.
