It would be grat to have task duration as a task property and sync it to GCal too.
It will be very useful for day planning in GCal if tasks are shown with their real duration.

This is a user group. I don't know if the staff even look at this.
But I agree that proper timing of appointments etc would make it possible to see these both from your calendar and from your Doit list.
An indirectly related need is to NOT have everything clutter your calendar just because it has som other kind of date associated with it: either a start date from which the task is possible to consider doing (GTD tickler date; called scheduled date in Doit) or and end date after which the tasks is impossible (due date; called deadline in Doit).
As it is now I have chosen to use Doit's Scheduled for GTD "tickler items" (irrelevant to see before a certain date; I have lots of those), and I keep my appointments in my calendar only. I carry a copy of today's appointments across to Doit every day to eliminate the need to check two lists repeatedly the same day. It would certainly be nice, as you say, to be able to see appointments etc long time in advance within the correct project in Doit.
