task attachments

How are you handling attachments in combination with doit ? I sometimes send emails to my inbox but attachments are not allowed in doit as you know. I tend to keep a copy in my mailbox which creates a double location for my actionable things. Not so nice ...

  I have no real need for attachments in my task manager. I always store those straight away in their long-term reference archive, and I do not have any problem finding my reference info whenever I need it.
  
  But I think I saw something written somewhere about Doit planning to implement a solution for attachments.
  
  Another thing you can do even today is put documentation in Dropbox, Evernote etc and paste links to those documents in your Doit tasks.

  Do you use the option to send an e-mail into doit´s inbox ?
  It´s one of the main issues I still have with task managers in general: how to easily integrate it with the actionable e-mails. It made me try out IQtell for a while, which allows to process e-mails and keep links between e-mails and actions. Didn´t like the overall UI in the end plus way too many configuration options.

  People are soooo different. Some people crave for task-mail-reference linking, whereas I hardly have any use for it at all. I only rarely send emails into the task managers inbox. Usually there is no one-to-one correspondence between emails and tasks, and I have to retype the subject line etc antway, and I do not generally need the text body, and i can find my reference stuff easily and do not want to be dependent on a task manager to be able to locate reference info.
  
  The main use I have for the email inbox is:
  
  - bcc the task manager on outgoing mail if I do not have time to write a Waiting for action manually unto Doit (this is quite seldom)
  - forward emails if I really want to have the text body and of the text body is suffucient this (this is also quite seldom)
  - automatic GCal reminders by email 15 hours before appointments (I have this automatically set up by default in my various GCal calendars and GApps mail, and use this all the time). I like to see today's appointments in Doit. For events in shared calendars that do not pertain to me I simply delete the Doit copy of the reminder email without thereby affecting the original shared calendar entry.
