Hello,
Here, which version are you using now? In Doit.im, you can add up to 5 tags to a single task. If you want to add two or more tags to multiple tasks, what do you think is the best way to implement it?
Thanks for your feedback and support.
Thanks,
Lee

I use the website and I have android 3.9.12 installed. If you can make it so that we can do something similar to changing priorities by highlighting multiple tasks and then hitting a P it would be nice. Obviously with tags it is a little more complicated due to there being multiple tags. Ultimately I would like to highlight several tasks and then hit a keyboard shortcut. I would then be prompted with the 'Edit a Task' dialog box with the 'Enter a Task Title' field changed to a simple text box stating "Multiple Tasks Selected". Then any change I make on any of the remaining fields such as project, date, context etc would be written to all the selected tasks. All the other fields would be left alone. For example, what brought this to my attention is I want to separate my tasks between work and personal as you have shown in your blog. I have a bunch of tasks with different due dates and contexts mixed together in my lists. I want to select all the tasks which are for work and be presented with the 'Edit a Task' dialog box. The dialog box would come up and I could change just the tags. The contexts and due dates would be unaffected unless I choose to change them also. Since there is a possibility for multiple tags, selected tags in this dialog box would add to tags that are already assigned to each task instead of overwriting them. (Or an option to either add to or replace would be available as a check box.) Selecting different due dates, projects and contexts would overwrite existing values.
Now that I think about it a little more I think this would also be easy to implement on the android interface also. When we long press on a task we get a dialog box that has Edit, Move to, and Delete. What I would like to see is one more selection that says 'Multiple Selection Enabled' and then have the dialog box disappear. When it disappears we would be able to tap on each of the tasks and have it highlighted instead of the current action of displaying the 'View Task' display. Once all of the wanted tasks are highlighted we would be able to press a button at the bottom of the screen that would take us to the 'Edit Task' display. The name field again would be changed to 'Multiple Tasks Selected' and any change we make here would be pushed to all the selected tasks as the web version above.
If you have questions about this please let me know.
Thanks,

On the web and Mac app, you can change the context or the project of multiple tasks by the drag-and-drop operation. Select multiple tasks on the right using Ctrl/Shift and drag and drop them to the targeted context/project on the left-side menu.
To change the priority of multiple tasks, just as you said above, select them and hit the "P" key.
For your suggestion about batch tagging, our designer will seriously consider it.
Shall you need any other help or have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thanks for your support on Doit.im. -
