@joaquinmari
Hello,
Adding contexts to subtasks is not supported now, but we may consider it in the future. Now, you may the context to the title of a sub task.
If there is anything else that we can help with, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thanks for your support on Doit.im.
Suppose I have a task with different subtasks. For example:
Task: Buy present to my wife
Subtask 1: Call her sister to ask for present suggestions
Subtask 2: Look for ideas in internet.
Subtask 1 context could be @phone
Subtask 2 context could be @computer
If I don't feel like turning the main task into a project, how can I assign the two contexts to the main task?
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

How about allowing multiple contexts to te main task? This would settle the issue and I`ve seen that more people asked for this feature .
Could you consider it? -

@joaquinmari
In GTD, Context is used for you to completely focus on the tasks in one list. If multiple contexts are supported, a task will appear in more than one context list, which goes against the origin idea we design Doit.im.
Now in your case, you may use tags instead. You can add up to five tags to a single task and then filter the tasks you need by the tag(s).
Shall you need any other help or have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for your feedback and support. -

I agree Michelle but only for tasks with no subtasks. However, I still think that If a main task includes multiple subtasks, then it should support also multiple contexts (in the main task), or different contexts for each subtask.
Thanks for all and please, consider it

@joaquinmari
If it's a task with multiple steps, you may convert it to a project. A project in Doit.im is just a task with multiple steps. When the task gets into a project, then you can add different context to the tasks under the project.

And for your suggestion, we may consider it in the future.

Thanks Michelle. If I convert all my tasks (with subtasks) into projects I will have too many projects.
