@ronimb
We will seriously consider it.
By the way, which desktop app do you refer to, the Mac app or the Windows app? Now, on the Mac app, you can input something like "meeting 2013-05-07 due 2013-05-09" in the Smart Add box, the task will have a deadline "2013-05-09".
Shall you need any help or have additional questions, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for your feedback and support. -

@michelle1987
i'm using the windows client, though i must say,
i find it to be seriously impaired compared to the web version, it only has 2 advantages over the web version right now as far as i'm concerned:
-keyboard shortcut for quickly adding tasks
-Tags are displayed on the task screen
but the disadvantages are greater and more numerous (I.E no option to create/view subtasks... space doesnt work and neither does double click, also no calendar) -

@ronimb The Windows app is still being developed. We will try to quickly improve its functionality. So sorry for it.
And in the web version, there is also a shortcut for quickly adding tasks, "Q". To get more shortcuts on the Web version, please click the gear-shaped icon and then select Shortcut Help.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have further questions.

@ronimb
But if you are not in the app, how can you set priority in bulk?

i didn't say anything about prioritizng in bulk... (in this thread)
the main use for the windows app quick add task shortcut (the one that works outside the app) is for idea capturing, quickly jotting down tasks and LATER sorting them out in the inbox (THAT is where bulk prioritization could be handy :) ) -

@ronimb
First, I am so sorry for my carelessness.
And yes, q only can be used in the Web app. I am curious whether you have ever seen shortcuts in any other browser app that can be used when you do not open that app on the browser. If you have, please feel free to let us know and the we can do some research on it.
Thank you for your feedback. -

Yah, this one is very important. It's about the only feature that keeps me paying Nozbe and keeps me from jumping in full tilt with you guys. We need a shortcut for Deadline in the Quick/Smart Add Task dialogue.
I live on the keyboard; if I had a shortcut key to add a deadline (just like we have for start date, etc.), I wouldn't need to hit the mouse to select one from the usual task dialogue...and I could really use the Quick Add. I use due dates to track all of my waiting for items (and occasionally some of my own tasks).
Please add this to the web version. Pleeeease. -
