When adding a task, it defaults to 1 hour duration. This can make the calendar that I siync with look very ugly and hard to read.

Is there a way to change the duration when creating a task. There should be a way to change the duration for current tasks. Especially if they repeat.

You may change the deadline so that the duration can be changed. Or you are unable to do it? If it is so, could you tell what platform you are in?

And if you want to change the duration of all the pieces of a repeated task, please change the deadline of this parent repeated task in Scheduled. Then after a few minutes' auto-sync or manual sync anytime, you'll see the duration of all the occurrences of this repeated task has been updated.
Meanwhile, please be informed that the one in Today list will not follow the change of the parent repeated task since it has been generated once and forever, so you need to change it separately.
