Maybe that's because you are a free member, who are only allowed to sync once per 24 hours, and repeating tasks are generated on server. So you may not see the repeating tasks timely.
It's good for free members to use only one device with no need to sync. If you want to sync frequently, you are suggested to upgrade to Pro.

@Kassy Thanks for the answer. I've upgraded my account to Pro recently, hope this will fix the issue.

Please manually update the app by clicking the sync icon on the left column, because for the present it may not update automatically the first time you turn free account into Pro.
And after this first manual update, the app will automatically sync every 3 to 5 minutes. What's more surprising, in the coming new version, it syncs in real time so manual sync button will not be needed any more.
