I strongly believe somewhere you should add a visual indicator to help people recognise whether what on screen is an event read from the connected Google Calendar or it's a task created via Doit.im

What indicator do you think is suitable? How about automatically adding a tag to those events from Google Calendar?

Everything could be fine ...

Colouring the task would probably be the best solution, but also adding a " - (G Cal)" at the end of the title would make sense. Or using a different font.

We added the "GCal" tag to the tasks that come from Google Calendar. :)
