I also us the Android app on my smartphone.

My question is, is there a way to have all the next actions at the top of my list for each project show up automatically in "next", once the task before is completed?

Now, if you set Next to the start time of the tasks under a project, the tasks will go to the "Next" box.

What do you mean of "automatically in "next"? Could you make a detailed description of it?
