Alter my Email / Login Details (Or Export to new account?)

Hi Guys,

First of all....

THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU AND DAVID ALLAN HAVE REVOLUTIONISED MY LIFE!!!

Your app is the perfect embodiment of David Allen philosophy of the GTD System BUT

We recently moved to Google Apps and altered our company name in the interim and as a result of that I've lost access to the mail box I signed up with.

I want to use the GTD sync to GCAL and theres also a GTD plugin for GMAIL which I intend to also use to organise my email inbox which is just a complete mess at the moment. So as a result I would like to use the DOIT.IM email features.

Do I need to alter my email to utilise this feature.

Also are you going to make a Gmail plugin?

(last thing....can I integrate DOIT with Gecko Board?)

Also we use BaseCamp as a Project management tool...can I sync this with that too?

A: Do you mean that you cannot log in to the app using your old email and want to change your registered email? If you want to change to another registered email, please first make sure that there is no contact in your Doit.im. If you have contacts, please delete them first. And then tell us your new email.

A: To add a task via email send your email to task mailbox (which is provided by us and can be found in Preference - Account Info) then the email will go to Inbox in Doit.im. http://enblog.doit.im/post/25994485658/how-to-add-task-via-email

A: You may use Chrome extemsion to have a try, with which, you can add emails in your Gmail to Doit.im. Click "Add to Doit.im" on each email view page and it will go to Inbox in Doit.im.

In addition, In you opinion, cwhat kind of feature the Gmail plugin has?

A: We feell so sorry. Both of the two feature are not supported noe. We will do a research on them and consider whether supporting them or not.

Hi Michelle,

Q1/ Well as you can see from this post, I have come up with User Name - SitesLab this is the name of my old company, we have re-branded to "Nova Digital Media" - www.novadigitalmedia.com now and I would like to have a log-in for my new company and not with my old email which I no longer use. There are no contacts in the account but there are over 100 tasks so PLEASE do not delete those as you'll cost me hours in lost time.

Q2 + Q3/ As long as changing my email / login has no affect on the way I add tasks via email, then there is no problem. But what I wanted to know is if I change my username (email) will that have any effect on the inbox that I need to use to get tasks into DOIT.

A2 + A3/ I use "Active Inbox" which is a plugin for Chrome, it adds an interface with Gmail and adds a GTD system for organising into the main contexts and projects etc that DOIT.IM gives us but all from the Gmail interface. BUT it doesn't plugin into DOIT.IM and I would like either for you to plugin or for you to create your own version of this and make your GTD software fully cloud and cross platform compatible.

Q4/ Do you have an API that we can access then that will allow us to create a bridge between the software?

Hi Michelle,

Just to clarify,

my domain for SitesLab = http://www.siteslab.co.uk although still exists the email doesn't and our new site http://www.novadigitalmedia.com is the place we now do business and I'll add another message that's private with my email in so you can email me when you reply.

P.S. I can't sync my GCAL until you allow me to update my email login / email address as it's not synced with our new email (which is a Google Apps email address).

Do you mean that you still want to keep the old data in your new account?

If so, we will change your account email from the old one to the new one, j.palmer@novadigitalmedia.com. And what you need to do is:

1. Let us know the old account email and delete the new account registered with j.palmer@novadigitalmedia.com. Because one email can register one Doit.im account only.
2. Log into Doit.im with your old account and submit an application for changing account email in the Help Center.

If you do not care your data in the old account, you can just use the new account, you have registered with j.palmer@novadigitalmedia.com.
