Hello,
May I know the reason why you need this? Is it because the process of adding a reminder to a task in Doit.im is not easier than you hope?
And here, "Short means: Duration of task is 30 min and reminder 1 day, 1 hour", what do you mean?
Do you mean that the deadline can be added automatically when you set a start time to the task and then the reminder could appear one hour before the task starts?
Could you please describe some situations where you need to do the setting above? If there will be an option in Doit.im Settings to predefine a reminder for all the tasks, could it solve your issue?
Thanks for your feedback and support.
Adding reminder:
Please add predefinition possibilities like google cal.
(By the way: Adding a reminder in doit.im will not overtaken, if the task is added to google cal)
This is actually exactly what i like and need, because i added predefinitions of reminders in google cal - they are used also for those tasks comming from doit.im.
Please dont change this behaviour until you provide predefinitions of reminders in doit.im.
Prefill during adding task:
It will be very useful if ill add a new task and could decide between different options which are predefined.
E.g.: Short, normal, long, custom (which are can be predefined and named in preferences):
Short means: Duration of task is 30 min and reminder 1 day, 1 hour
Normal means: Duration 1 hour, reminder 1 day, 1 hour
Long means: Duration 3 hour, reminder 2 days, 1 hour
OR
via selecting a context
each context can have a behaviour of adding tasks:
Context - Recherche: Dont need any reminder ect. so if i select this as context, a prefil will apply. In some cases it must be possible to change this individually.

May I know the reason why you need this? Is it because the process of adding a reminder to a task in Doit.im is not easier than you hope?
A1) Reason:
Adding a task must be very fast. For this i will not waste my time to think about reminders. Mostly standardized reminders are enough. So I would like to predefine reminders in preferences. And later this reminders apply for all new tasks. That makes adding tasks much more faster and more comfortable.
Attention: Actually I am satisfied with reminders, because google provide exactly that solution, which is overtaken also to your tasks, even they are importat to google.
And here, "Short means: Duration of task is 30 min and reminder 1 day, 1 hour", what do you mean?
A2) In this case "short" is a shortcut or a package with several settings for "reminders and duration" of tasks
- Reminder: Possibility to add several reminders to that shortcut "short"
- Duration: Define how long a task lives from start to the deadline. Possibility to add one duration to that shortcut "short"
So if Just add a task and click on my defined "short" then the settings of short applied to this task.
Could you please describe some situations where you need to do the setting above? If there will be an option in Doit.im Settings to predefine a reminder for all the tasks, could it solve your issue?
A3) I grouped all of my task in different folders (contexts).
In general all tasks in a context have similar time estimations for a task (duration time = how long I need to complete the task). If I can predefine general shortcuts with different duration times and reminders i would be increase the time of adding tasks. In special cases I can also handle the reminders and duration times manually.
Actually is 1 hour predefined by doit.im. So if i set start to 1 the deadline increase to 2. -

Hello,
Do you want to have the feature that Google Cal has (See in attach file)? In Google Cal, there is a default reminder in each event under a calendar. And now, you want to predifine different "reminder and duration, Short, normal, long, custom" to different tasks in Doit.im?
A2) Here, if you want to predefine duration and reminders to a task, the task must have start time. On Google Cal, each event has a start time, while in Doit.im, there may be no start time in a task, for example tasks in Next. How can you predefine those tasks without specific start time?
In addition, could you please describe in detail how you set the attributes, Short, normal, long, custom to a task?
Thanks for your feedback. -

Do you want to have the feature that Google Cal has (See in attach file)? In Google Cal, there is a default reminder in each event under a calendar.
--> Exactly! I need this predefinition for reminders.
And now, you want to predifine different "reminder and duration, Short, normal, long, custom" to different tasks in Doit.im?
--> this function is additionally to the reminder predefinition!
I like to name a shortcut, this can named e.g. "short" the name can be different an doesnt matter. this shortcut has a duration time and reminder. For any task you can apply this shortcut (It is like a button). And all setting becomes set.
A2) Here, if you want to predefine duration and reminders to a task, the task must have start time. On Google Cal, each event has a start time, while in Doit.im, there may be no start time in a task, for example tasks in Next. How can you predefine those tasks without specific start time?
--> This action is only available behind a step is true. E.g.: If user set start time -> Show shortcuts
Only if the user set the start time, then this buttons/ shortcuts will shown.Otherwise do nothing!
In addition, could you please describe in detail how you set the attributes, Short, normal, long, custom to a task?
--> Add task, give name, description, set start time (now you can prefere between the shortcuts: short, normal, long.) Custom is as known = user action!
e.g. we have selected "Short" now this preferences will apply: 1 hour duration, 5 defined reminders. The shortcuts are located on the right side of the window (adding a task).
Every time the user opens the task to change start time ect. he can change also his favorite shortcut (from short to normal)
Instead of defining shortcuts, you could add predefinitons to contexts. Every time a context is selected this setting applied. if no start time is set, but context is set - context becomes set but without their settings.
After a while if the user changes his opinion and sets a start time to a task, the setting from the context apply automatically.
