@malbert
Hello,
Do you refer to the message, "It requires access to 'doit.im, doitim.com and 6 other sites'"?
Those 6 other sites are Twitter, Gmail, Outlook.com, Weibo.com, Pinboard, CNTV Sports. After you accept it, there will be an button in those sites respectively, on which you click and the item will directly go to Doit.im Inbox.
Shall you need any other help or have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thanks for your support on Doit.im.
I just got an alert telling me that the updated version of the extension for Chrome allows it to access my tabs and browsing history. What reason is there for your app to access this kind of information, and what do you do with it?

Actually, I'm referring to the second bullet in the same message, which says, "Access to tabs and browsing history". (See attached.)

Yeah I am also afraid to use this one as I don't know why they need access to tabs and browsing history. Will not use due to privacy concerns.

Hello,
Don't worry about it. It just means there will be a Doit.im tab next to your address bar. (See in attach file)
If you have any further questions about it, please feel free to let us know.
Thanks for your feedback and support.

Why do you need access to browsing history for that?

@delta6
Hello,
It's browsing activity, not history. Most of the extensions with the settings page need tab permissions. When opening the settings page, we need a permission to open a new window. To learn more about it, please click here. https://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/answer/186213?hl=en
