@hntopper
Hello,
In Doit.im, we provide you with different "Group by" modes. The "Group by" mode is not equal to the "Sort by" mode. When you choose "Group by Start time", it means that there are several groups and the groups are in chronological order, not the tasks. In a group, tasks are sorted by Priority (in descending order) – Deadline (in ascending order) – Start time (in ascending order) – Update time (in ascending order).
Please feel free to let us know if you have further problems.
Thanks for your feedback and support.
Thanks.

@michelle1987,
thank you for the explanation. If I'm reading your reply correctly, then what I'm expereince does not align with the intended design you described above. If you look at the picture that I attached in my oriiginal post, and look at the Grouping "Next Month and Later" you will see two actions. The action that is listed first (Dee to report to Yolanda in January) is not to be started until January 2014. The action that is listed second (Distribute Org Announcement) is to be started and completed on 10/4/2013. So based on what you wrote above, it would lead me to believe these are not listed in the proper order. Both of these have the same priority (none) so it should default to either their deadline or their start time. "Dee to report to Yolanda in January" has no deadline but a start time of Jaunary 5 2014. "Distribute Org Announcement" has a start date of 10/4/2014 and a deadline of the same date. Based on what you wrote, this one should be listed first in this group, which is why I wrote the original post.
Am I missing something or did I mis understand your explanation?
Given that "Dee to report to Yolanda in January" doesn't have a deadline, is that what's causing the out of order sequencing? The system is assuming that no deadline comes before a scheduled deadline? If I were to give it a deadline in Jaunary it would then be placed second in the grouping?
Thank you. -
