Yes, this is useful.
I used to have this feature in Toodledo, which was very convenient, but since I moved on from there I have grown accustomed to manually rescheduling these tasks.
I write them for example like this "RM4W Sep 14: Haircut", meaning "Repeats Manually every 4 Weeks, last time done was Sep 14" and I schedule this task it for around Oct 14; I do never check these off; just edit and reschedule.
When Oct 18 comes I most likely "unstar" it on sight, and later select it from my Next list when convenient. The "last time done" date, plus a look in the mirror, will help me decide, and when it is done I edit the date in the title and reschedule it again.
But no doubt automatic repeat from completion is much more convenient. No question about it.
Recurring after completed!
Many tasks repeat even if they are not associated with hard due dates. Examples include getting a haircut, cutting the grass, washing the floor, oil change etc. As soon as it's done there is no need to repeat until N days, weeks or months after it was done the last time. If I cut the grass a week late, I don't have to cut it again the next day.
So my humble request is to add the ability to specify that a repeating task repeats a certain time interval not after it was latest due or scheduled, but after it was completed.
Thanks,
Tom

Thanks for adding this on your list. I used Doit in the past but abandoned it because of this feature. I would definitely stick with it and upgrade it the recur from completion date was added. This is the main feature missing from your product.

Thank you for your prompt and positive response. I will try to be patient :-)
Of all the GTD alternatives I have tried, all have something the others are missing. I hope Doit.im will continue to evolve and continue to stay ahead of the rest.
BTW: Is there any public roadmap of planned features? How about a system where users can vote for new features to help you prioritize? (I think I have sin that for Remember the Milk and Get it Done.)
Again: Thanks, and keep up the good work! -
