@trebor5000
Hello,
Could you please describe the situations in which you need to add more than one context to a single task?
Thanks for your feedback and support. -

Actually, I would even take the request a bit further - to completely merge Contexts and Tags and have only one .
There is no need (that I am aware of) to make a distinction. Instead, have just one of them, call it Context or Tag or Label or whatever (doesn't matter) and make it flexible enough to serve all purposes:
- apply as many as you want to each task (just as today's Tags)
- all of them available as list filter buttons at the top of the list (just as Tags are today)
- all of them visible for each task on the list (just like Contexts are today, and just like Tags are on Windows and Mac today)
- all of them available via the left menu for finding tasks across all lists (just like Contexts are today) -

If the task has several subtasks, then the main task should allow multiple contexts

Hello,
For many purposes implementation of Areas of Responsibility will help. And we have it in our development plan. :)
The possibility of using only one Context for one task is the closest way of true implementation of GTD. When somebody needs to give to the task more than one "Context", he can use Tags in Doit.im.
Many times people want to use several Contexts in one tasks the wrong way because they merge several tasks to the one task. For example:
Call Peter, check his opinion to the Project and send the boss my suggestion how to optimize something... --- some people will give to the task two Contexts: @phone + @computer
However, by true GTD this should be a Project with two steps (not a task with two Contexts):
1. Call Peter and check his opinion to the Project --- @phone
2. Send the boss my suggestion how to optimize something... --- @computer
Thanks for your feedback and support. -

Michelle, that is only true for one of the two ways for managing GTD when you use paper. Instead of having one long Next list, you can have separate Next lists, one for each Context. Because it is on paper, messy to have copies all over, you would have to choose your setup - either a consolidated Next list or one for each Context.
In the modern computer-based world no such restrictions are necessary. You can have both a consolidated Next list, or view them in any way you want. -

@Folke
We will seriouly consider improving it.
Thanks for your feedback and support.
