Hello,
In your case, I think now you can create a context named with the name of the person the task is delegated to and then add the context to the task. Thus, there is no need to send the task to the person and you can also see the name of the person written next to the task on the list even if you move it to the Waiting box. Besides, you can click the context on the left-side menu to view all the tasks related to the person. In Doit.im, Context not only refers to a place you are in, it also refers to a person involved in the event or a tool on hand.
For your suggestion, we are just considering it and it may be supported in the future. :)
Thank you for your feedback and support.
It would be good to be able to just write the name of the person the task is delegated to when moving it to the "Waiting" list, without the need to add an e-mail to contacts.
On the list, I would like to see the name of the person written next to the task, so it's easy to see what is delegated to whom.

Hi,
I've tried to use tags instead of contacts until you fix the contacts issue, but tags are not displayed in the task. Can you make the tags display with the task the same way contexts and projects do?
Thank you. -

Now, tags are not supported to be displayed on the task bar.
Tags in Doit.im are used to filter tasks. Here, which version are you using. We have a video tells you how to filter tasks on the web version. http://enblog.doit.im/post/39298557567/doit-im-for-mac-how-to-group-filter-search-tasks
Hopefully, it could help you. :) -

Well. I was using them in order to track people to whom I've assigned tasks. It would be really great if you will finally allow contacts to be included without e-mail, that's the thing I really miss (and the tablet application layout) ;-)
