I'd like to see this feature supported as well.

I think being able to edit, delete, or add notes to other existing comments helps to keep a task "clean" and "uncluttered"... it makes it easier to sort through relevant information in relation to the task.

It is definitely a feature I felt was missing that should be available on a number of occasions.

I agree that in some cases it will keep a task "clean" and "uncluttered". But now when you send the task to your contacts,he will see your comments. When you change your comments,he may feel doubt .

I think the majority of tasks in doit.im would be personal only and never shared with a contact?

In the case that a task is shared, it is possible for the contact to express their doubts or concerns using the comments and for the original user to reply also within comments.

Occasionally you may make a mistake in comments and want to change the comment as soon as you have saved it (I have done this many times) because there is a mistake in the original information. In this case comments can become very messy by always needing to add more information with new comments.

99% of my comments are for myself.
If I could edit these comments my taksk information would be much more cleaner.

This is an issue, really.
Editing comments by adding new ones is not a solution, lets don't even speak about it.
I suppose you implemented app this way because you are having problems in app architecture - ok, it happens
but I also hope it was not your intentional decision.
if it was done so that not to have some important comments lost - I would prefer to be more careful with my comments rather than have a mess in the task.
DoIt is a great tool, I love it. but it is not a JIRA... it doesn't need such restrictions..

I too would like to be able to edit and delete posted comments. Or, I would like to have an option which would allow me to attach personal notes regarding the tasks I define.

Doit team, it looks like this has been an issue since 2013 and continues to be one now. Why does it take over 3 years to get a solution implemented? This continues to be a problem. Can someone please take these requests seriously and implement a solution?

We plan to add the delete feature on phones first. And for the web version, we've been designing new versions and will do the change in the new version.

Please understand us that there are numerous proposals forwarded by our users, so we have to balance each of them to see if it is of high priority. Editing or deleting a comment would only mean you change your own comment, as to the tasks sent to others, even you delete your comment, it should still be seen by your partner. Or, we've been thinking of whether we should use 'Recall' to take it back if the recipient hasn't read it. But that would take studies on it.

Please tell us if you have any ideas on this.
