I should also add that when I try to edit the task the task box says "Unable to modify its repeat strategy. Please go to Scheduled for the modification." and when i change it in scheduled the one task goes away, but not the (literally) years of other replications of the task.
Help! I have a task that won't go away!

I don't really understand what has happened, but I entered a task and now it is showing up on every single day through the end of time! When I change the task settings nothing happens - they are all still there. I can delete each individual instance of the task, but there are ALOT of instances. What can I do?

Hi,
After checking,we find that you have set it as a recurring task. If you want to stop it recurring, you need edit the task which has a circle icon on the task bar on the list view. Or you can group by Start time,it will display in the Repeat group.
