Dear Doit Team,

I am considering moving my entire GTD database to your service as I like the simple but useful interface and android app. However, as I am really dependent on my data in my daily work I can not dump all my stuff into a system that does not allow local security backups. This is basically against the GTD principle of "outsourcing" your memory to a system you trust...

So, as requested before, please add an export feature asap.

Hi Wendy,

I have experienced it twice before that my GTD system (a hosted version of the tracks software) was simply taken offline with no advance notice because the service provider went bust or something similar. In both cases I had a local backup of the data to keep me going and to move my tasks somewhere else which was then only a minor hassle but no big deal.

Your assurance that my data is safe with you is nice enough, but this can not possibly give me the same peace of mind that a local backup of my data will give me... Reading from other requests on this forum I think I am not the only one who is feeling that way.

I also need it, cannot trust a system with no export feature, if something goes wrong I lose all my planning.

Same to me. Doit is great but will never take off untill they realise they have to solve their main weakness.
