I agree with this.
IMO when you put something on the today list, it should still remain in the next actions list, since they are still next actions they're just the next actions to focus on today. The next actions list should be an overview of everything and should not exclude actions that need to be done today.
You could make this an option in the preferences so each user could choose if they want the today items still listed in the next actions bucket.
Thanks!
Colin

+ 1. Totally agree. I think the same principle applies across the board - starred items in Next, Waiting, Someday, Scheduled, Inbox, anywhere.

@Folke I'm glad you agree, and I also agree with you on the across the board stuff. Up until about a month ago I was using Nirvana, and your post mentioning Doit.im on the Nirvana forum is actually what sparked me to switch. I tried Todoist first before Doit.im and wasn't that impressed. I quickly adapted to Doit.im though and even with not being able to manually sort actions yet I have found it to be better than Nirvana. I'm really happy so far, and am anxiously awaiting the new version Doit.im.
So thanks for the recommendation @Folke!!! -

@wendy_only Yes I do agree. Today is just a list of tasks to focus on for the day and those tasks should not be moved from their bucket (next, waiting, etc.)

@colinmarshall
Hi,
We will consider it seriously about this issue. Thank you. -

+1
I find the disconnect between Today and Next to be a problem, in fact I would also like the Scheduled view to include Today and Tomorrow as well, so I can get a full week view if necessary. I found that to be useful during my time with Todoist and there's no reason we shouldn't be able to see a combined view of all dated tasks. -

I've wandered into this help section looking for a way to show all overdue/current/upcoming tasks in one listing. I also find TODAY/NEXT to be confusing.

@Anjum
Hi,
If you want to view all scheduled tasks including Today and Tomorrow,you can choose the Calendar view in Scheduled. We will offer weekly calendar and better monthly calendar in the future. -

@KThaemert
Hi,
Doit.im is not a to do list. I agree that it is better if there is a place where you can see all tasks. We are considering adding this feature.
You'd better try to use the Filter to view your tasks. More about Filter: http://faq.doit.im/web.html#100
