Well do you make calls with a work or with a phone? :-)
I struggle more and more with breaking tasks into single contexts as my work & personal life blend and a always-available online world. Only some of my contexts are location bound. I can do email at any time or search the web from my phone. I can make a phone call at any time. Is a work related phone call @work or @phone?

True. Maybe I'm just struggling with how to integrate GTD "Areas of Responsibility" with Contexts and with Tags. I would like to be able to find the work related phone call under both @work and @phone when I filter without having to set custom filters for every possible combination. Or using the GTD approach, the Area of Responsibility would be Work and the Context would be @phone. Or maybe I set the Context to @work and the tag to phone or vise versa?
A better example may be "Look up xxxxxxxxx.com for pricing". From a Context it could be performed either @computer or @phone because either tool could be used. The Area of Responsibility would be Work. -

Hello,
For now, you can't assign multiple contexts to a single task. :( In GTD, Context is used for you to completely focus on the tasks in one list. If multiple contexts are supported, a task will appear in more than one context list, which goes against the origin idea we design Doit.im. We will appreciate it very much if you could understand.
And we will support "Areas of Responsibility", which has been listed in our development plan. Now in your case, you can use tags instead. You can st most add five tags to a single task and then filter out the tasks you need by the tags you added.
Please feel free to contact us if you have further questions.
Thank you for your feedback and support.

I fully understand disappointment of the topic-starter! Ability of setting multiple contexts is very useful when you need to understand what exactly you can do in a current environment. It's two different things to be in the office and to be at your workplace in the office, at your computer.

@ViseMoD
I think "Areas of Responsibility" will solve it.. We are now making a better design of the app and will try to make "Areas of Responsibility" realized sooner. Please be patient.
Thank you for your support. -

Dont forget the option, task "time consuming" as hightrack do. The option to list by time consuming into a context is key.

Time that a task consumes? We will support it in the future. And now, you can add it to task comments. Comments in Doit.im are used to write down some useful information at various stages of the task processing for further reference.

For many purposes implementation of Areas of Responsibility will help.
However I would like to say that I have used several GTD apps and in my opinion, Doit.im has one of the best implementations of Contexts from all apps I know. Therefore I think it will be a mistake to add a feature with a possibility of adding several Contexts to one task.
The possibility of using only one Context for one task is the closest way of true implementation of GTD. When somebody needs to give to the task more than one "Context", he can use Tags in Doit.im.
Many times people want to use several Contexts in one tasks the wrong way because they merge several tasks to the one task. For example:
Call Peter, check his opinion to the Project and send the boss my suggestion how to optimize something... --- some people will give to the task two Contexts: @phone + @computer
However, by true GTD this should be a Project with two steps (not a task with two Contexts):
1. Call Peter and check his opinion to the Project --- @phone
2. Send the boss my suggestion how to optimize something... --- @computer

Thank you for sharing your idea.
Yes, areas of Responsibility will help and we have it in our development plan. Just stay tuned!
