When you stated prior to the V4 release that you were going to have manual sorting of tasks I got very excited. But now that I've had a day to play with your implementation of it, I'm very upset on how you chose to do it. Manual sorting of tasks to me, means that you can manually sort them in what ever order you want them in, regardless of their start date or due date. However, you have chosen to implement this only within the "box" associated with the task's start date. This is horrible! So when I look at a project to see what tasks I have I still can not see them in the sequential order in which they are to be performed regardless of how I manually sort them because of the stupid "box" feature.

Please allow us to truly sort manually. I don't need the today, tomorrow, scheduled boxes, get rid of them.

Do you mean that you want the tasks to be un-grouped in the specific project viewing page and you can manual sort tasks on this page?

Yes. In the project view, I would like to have the ability for all the tasks to be un-grouped so that I can manually sort the tasks. I think to provide the greatest amount of flexibility for everyone, you should add a "un-grouped" option. That way people who like to have their project tasked grouped in a certain way, can use the group options that you currently have (context, box, deadline, start date, priority, etc)... and someone like me who doesn't use those groupings, can have an "un-grouped" option and manually sort the tasks the way that I want them. This will provide a solution for everyone.

I would like to be able to manually sort in all locations as well. Currently manually sorting in Doit Now does't seem to work anymore (web version).

Okay, so more on Manual sorting of tasks: I'm having issues here:

I can manually sort:
projects all-so move order of the project itself
goals all-same as above
project tasks: can manually sort

but not:
today: (if not selected the doit now icon)
next, someday, waiting, etc all the other Focus areas, cannot be sorted manually, no matter what grouping you are viewing.

So, why is this. Why can we not manually sort wherever we like? I don't see why we cannot do this in the Next box etc. Explain why if there is a good reason so I get it, thanks. Otherwise, will it be changed so we can do this, does anyone else agree disagree?

In Next box,you should be able to manual sort tasks. Which version do you point to?
