p.s. I did get one message after I tried to open it the first time after the initial install and then the reinstall:
Warning
"Open Smart Add Dialog:"The hotkey has been occupied. Please try another one!

Additional info:
I've found that if I go into the install/uninstall part of programs and features and "Repair" the program, it displays the above warning dialog and then works for an hour or so...before recreating the original problem. It closes itself and won't open. I've tried it a couple times now with the same result. -

Same problem ... when I first installed the program within Windows, it seemed to work fine. I tried to minimize it, and it closed instead. Now it won't re-open! I tried uninstalling and re-installing, and found the same problem. Please help!

Thanks for your reply....
Other than the messages that I mentioned, there are no error messages. I double click on my Doit icon, and absolutely nothing happens. I checked my anti-virus program (Microsoft Security Essentials) and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the error.
Any other suggestions? -

I am sorry for this problem. Please have a try the latest version: http://download.doit.im/doit.im.windows.4.0.12.zip -

I downloaded the latest version, as you recommended. I no longer receive a warning message, but the problem is still the same. When I first installed, the program opened with no problem. If I close the program, then later attempt to open it, nothing happens. -

Hi,
Could you send us the log by private comments? The default install path is similar like the below one:
C:\Users\Wendy\AppData\Roaming\Doit.im\

Not sure if this helps any body, but... I just had the same phenomenon, the Wondows client did not start anymore. In Task manager, I saw the process "Doit.im.exe" running. I killed it and the next restart worked again.

@khaberz
Hi,
Thank you for sharing your solution with us.
@Turkishtulip Did you see the process "Doit.im.exe" running in Task manager? Please try to kill it. -
01/02/2014 15:59#19PRO
You can also right-click the mini-icon (down on the right in Windows), and select Close. (No need to open Task Manager)
It seems that hitting the X in the top right corner does not kill the app properly.
I tried disabling Auto-Run, but that did not seem to have any influence on the problem.
Other open/close related flaws are that the window size and the expand/collapse status of the various left menu section are not remembered. -

No, I didn't see the process "Doit.im.exe" in the task manager.
I'll send you more of the logs by email. -

@wendy_only
Oh, alright, I did find it under "processes" tab of the task manager. Yes, killing doit.im.exe does allow me to open it, but it doesn't fix the problem for next time around. It's rather annoying to have to go into task manager every time I want to start it up, but at least it's a temporary fix. -

Hi,
I am sorry that it is not so easy for our developers. It must be a bug as not only you have. But we can not reproduce this issue in our local environment. :(
We will work harder. -

Try the small blue Doit icon in the LOWER RIGHT icon area of Windows (i.e. where the clock is, but a bit further to the left, possibly in the up-arrowed extension next to the language indicator.).
Via that small icon - use right-click - you can restart, kill or do anything.with Doit as often as you like. The main icon only works once. -

Hi,
Try the small blue Doit icon in the LOWER RIGHT icon area of Windows (i.e. where the clock is, but a bit further to the left, possibly in the up-arrowed extension next to the language indicator.).
Doit.im Pro offers not only the access to windows client, but also other more features. http://doit.im/upgrade
Sorry for any inconvenience brought to you.
