Hi,
I woult like that too, in my case I woult like to have the possibility to mark a task as "completed" and put it in "waiting" oder "next" after that. I have many task which I don't repeat regularly, but which will repeat for sure. (At the moment I just don't mark them as "completed", which is quite fine. I only won't see them in my review than. I can live well with that, so this feature wouldn't be my highest need. ;-))
cc
Example: I could set a task to start on Jan 1, and make it repeat "1 month after completion". If I complete the task on Jan 9, the next repeat occurrence task start date would be set to Feb 9.
This feature is the only thing I'm missing while migrating from the excellent The Hit List app. :)
Regards, Niko

Thanks for confirmation - no date?
I'm looking for another application that contains this feature, so this date would be helpful -

Yeah, this is the only missing feature.
For the time being I guess you could do that manually, i.e when you complete the task create another one along with it's specified due date. -

I do it manually now and have been doing this for years (even with my previous app, Nirvana). I never check these tasks off, just reschedule them manually (no need to write a new one). To remember to do this (reschedule instead of check off) I prefix them with something like RAC 6w (Repeat After Completion 6 weeks), for example RAC 4W: Clean kitchen fan.
The only problem with this manual approach is I still sometimes check them off out of habit (despite the visible task prefix) , and then it will not repeat anymore. It sometimes takes a long time until I notice that the task is gone. -

I'm a brand new user - day one and I realize that this is a key missing feature. A bit disappointing to know that it has been in the "developing plan" for over 18 months and still has not been implemented or even a guess when the "developing plan" will come to be.

Bump!
Is there any word on this feature becoming a reality? I would really appreciate an update on this highly requested feature that has been in development for nearly 2 years. We've been waiting patiently ;)
Thanks! -

@colinmarshall
I read your discussion, sorry it takes soooo long..
Our next version will be after the launch of our new product-Rush, and we are still trying to make Doit easier to use:)
