Totally agree with you - that there is now a plugin from the series that was.
Loaded tasks slowly and usability very poor quality. I wait until the plugin download - software easier to look at the windows.
Overall, this really is not enough.
The chrome extension is currently lacking in a lot of usability and the design is frankly week.
I'm sure there are loads of doit.im users dying to see some improvements on chrome and Gmail extention
Similar to what you can find on
Todoist
https://en.todoist.com/gmail
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/todoist-to-do-list-and-ta/jldhpllghnbhlbpcmnajkpdmadaolakh
These guys are doing an awesome job in terms of UI/UX and Design but their app is far behind in terms of GTD and functionality compared to Doit.im.
The chrome ext may look something that wouldn't be that important but in fact it does has a lot of importance and could provide much more flexibility to use doit.im
Best and keep the good work

Besides load speed, some feature suggestions to the chrome extension:
1. Quick add new task to inbox/today/etc (todoist, any.do has a little "+" to do that)
2. A drag handle in front of the item for rearranging tasks
3. Set details like priority, notes, project, subtasks, etc.
4. Go to gmail if it was added from gmail extension
5. Go to the webpage if the URL was added via right click menu
6. Bring up the web app
7. Bring up settings

I fully respect the fact that people have wishes that I do not have. And I respect the fact that developers implement features that I do not need; that they cater more for other paying customers than for me. That is their prerogative.
I just want to report here to the developers that there are those of us who would prefer to see more rapid development in totally different areas of functionality than cross-app integration in any of its forms. I have no problem with switching to Doit whenever I want to add or edit a task.
But there are things that I cannot possibly do in any other way than with the task app itself (Doit), and those are the areas of functionality I would prefer to see speedier development in. Examples of such more fundamental functionality enhancements would be in the grouping, tagging, sorting, filtering of tasks, and improvements in current vs dependent tasks, and having a normal non-disruptive attention star, and priority sorting, last-on-top-sorting etc etc etc.
