It is perhaps nice for new users to see an energy field, but it is also equally possible to use regular Tags for this. And Doit could come preconfigured with a few Tags for energy that each user can change as he or she pleases (in the same way that Doit comes preconfigured with a few Contexts). I have defined my own energy Tags.
For me, one important thing is to reduce the amount of tagging and other processing work. Therefore, I prefer to have normal energy (medium) as the default. This means no Tag for normal energy. No work at all. I just want to tag those that require exceptionally much or exceptionally little.
But to make this fully useful and make it possible with the Tag filter for example to see only the Low and Medium energy tasks I then would need a NOT filter to be able to hide (exclude) the High Energy tasks from the list. This would be a very important addition, and there are many ways to solve it. Here is one:
