@hugovandenbeld
Hi,
Now you can edit the task on the viewing page. The description can be edited by clicking without go to another page.
Do you like a set size field when you view the task and go to another page to see the whole description content and edit it?
Best regards,

In the new iPhone app, when I want to edit a task, I often have to scroll a long time. This is the case in tasks that originate from mails sent to doit, with lots of text in the 'remarks' field. This is really unhandy, as I use this feature often. In the previous version, the 'remarks field' had a set size, allowing for easier scrolling. Could you fix this?
Thank you!

Hi,
We have found a way to solve your problem. Our designer will work it out and we will develop it ASAP. -

I totally agree with @hugovandenbeld.
I normally include a lot of details in the notes area so subtasks appear too far away at the bottom of the task when you open it.
For this reason, I finally decided not to use the Doit subtask feature. Instead of this, I write my subtask at the beginning of the task notes. Then when I open a task to work with it, subtask appear first.
Wouldn't it be better if subtasks appeared before the task notes field?

@joaquinmari
Hi,
Do you still need subtasks be appeared before the task notes field if we can solve the problem what @hugovandenbeld feedback? -

This would be perfect. Then I would be able to use again de manual sorting feature.
Could you then move the subtasks to the top? -

And then, if we could edit/add subtasks, remarks and other data (context, tags etcc) from a unique screen it would be perfect.
I hate moving from one screen to another when I'm updating remarks, subtasks, contexts etc... -

@joaquinmari
Hi,
We need consider it seriously. Do you mean that you like the old version better? -
01/18/2014 10:49#9PRO
I'm talking about the web app. When you edit a task there you have to switch from 4 different screens:
1) The remarks when edit it and maximize it
2) Another screnn for changing o textexts tags etc...
3) Another screen for editing subtask
4) An a fourth screen to see all together (subtasks, contexts, tags, remarks etc....
In the android app you can do all that in a single screen.

Hi,
Got it. Do you mean that you want to edit the task in the viewing page (screen to see all together:subtasks, contexts, tags, remarks etc....)? We have the plan to make these two pages the same one. -

Maybe the description could show as just a one-line snippet when you open the task, and then there could be an "expand" button etc to see all the text? (For example, when you click on the description itself, or on a special button, it could expand.)
Like the others here, I am in favor of having a combined task view/edit screen with everything on one single screen (to the extent possible).

I agree with Folke, keep the description field to 1 line and then have the ability to expand if needed. This could be something you could put in the settings. (when tasks open, description field is limited to 1 line with field expander option; or click task open description is fully viewable).
Please do not move the sub tasks above the description; however, from the task list view, I do need to be able to visually see if a task has a subtask or not. Also, when completing or deleting a task, a pop up should come up to make sure you want to complete or delete the task if it has uncompleted sub tasks. -

Hi, again.
I'm glad to see that we all agree in having the possibility of editing all the items of a task in a unique screen.
Regarding the special button, I would prefer not to have it, and see first all the subtasks, then the notes, and finally, the tasks parameters.
Why?
Because when I start working with a task l fist want to see the next steps (=subtasks), and optionally more details (description field).

Hi,
We have the plan to add an "expand" button for the description.
About moving the sub tasks above the description,we need do a research on it. -

This would be a great advance. Please don't forget that once the the descrition is expanded all the fields (description, subtasks and parameters shoud be editable should be editable from this unique screen.
I don't use the desktop version because the field for editing descrition is too small. Please, implement these features in the web version too.
Thanks. -

@wendy_only and all
Perhaps the same principle should apply to the subtasks section as well? If you have a lot of subtasks (for example a long checklist) you do not really need to review this whole list every time you open the task for viewing. Maybe it would be enough to just show the first (uncompleted) subtask in the list, and have an "expand" button to show all. -

@Folke
Hi,
We will consider this issue. Thank you.
