The "Doit.im" GCal calendar is synced only one way. but you can also set up syncing for any of your existing GCal calendars (see "reverse sync" in the preferences), and that sync is truly two ways - a bit TOO "two ways" for my taste so I cannot use it.
The reverse syncing treats the GCal calendars as if they are meant to mirror your Doit tasks and vice versa. For example, when you trash a meeting in Doit it gets trashed in the GCal calendar, too. This is unacceptable if you are using shared calendars. And it sometimes puts checkmarks on the calendar entries, which is also very strange if you have other people sharing a GCal calendar with you.
I would prefer the reverse synch to be much more "import oriented" and "respectful" of my GCal calendars: http://help.doit.im/topics/1533#comment-2
Google Calendar sync - Is truly two ways?
Hi,
I would like to add tasks to Doit.im using Google Now voice comands. And that would be very simple if events added to Doit.im calendar on Google Now, would sync to Doit.im app.
I thought that was possible when I read: Two-way Sync between Doit.im and Google Calendar
http://enblog.doit.im/post/44054934078/two-way-sync-between-doit-im-and-google-calendar
But the limitation written there makes it not be a two way sync: "Any changes in Doit.im calendar on Google will not be synced to Doit.im."
What do you mean by two way sync then?
