Hi,
In Doit.im, you can use Goals - Projects - Tasks - Subtasks to manage your time. Could you please how you use the Goal feature if you do not want to make the bridget a "project"? In fact, project is just a big task with several steps to do in Doit.im.
In Doit.im, subtasks are a simple to-do list added under a task, which can describe the detailed steps that you do a task like the steps to make a cake, or make a record of the bill of materials like a shopping list. We now do not have the plan to add date to subtasks.
Thank you for your support!
Best regards,
Doit.im Team

I'd like to suggest being able to put due dates on subtasks. Don't get me wrong, one of the features I appreciate about the program is it's simplicity but I do think there's a good case.
For example, if the task is 'design a bridge'
subtasks like - obtain geotechnical info, call council for available survey, submit pilecap reactions to geotechnical engineer, submit concept of superstructure to client are all tasks that need to be done at different times with different parties and would be useful.
That being said, you'll probably tell me to make the bridge a 'project'. This doesn't work for me, because a project may include two or three bridges and other structures. I work on multiple projects and I'd like to keep projects together. That being said, I now have to look elsewhere for this functionality....
Thanks

That works for me and would solve my problem. I'm using windows and I'm trying to put my project under a goal I've created.
The tutorial says:
"Any outcome that’s going to require more than one item, in some sequence of tasks and projects in order to be able to achieve that outcome, that’s a goal.
You can assign multiple projects and tasks to a goal and manage them by the goal. Directly drag a task or a project and drop it to the targeted goal on the left-side menu can assign a task/project to a goal."
But I can't seem to drag projects into the goal that I've created. On the left hand tool bar, I drag the name of the project onto the name of the goal but nothing happens. I've also tried to open the goal so it is in the main pane and drag the project from the left hand toolbar into the main pain and nothing happens.
Thanks

@dkdriscoll
Hi,
You need to drag the name of the project on the main panel onto the name of the goal on the left hand tool bar. Have a try. -

Thanks
I finally figured it out.
I was dragging the project NAME from the main panel onto the goals and nothing was happening. i.e if you click and drag from the actual text of the project name, it lets you drag, but doesn't let you put it anywhere.
I now realise I need to click and drag from the 'dots' to the left of the project name onto goals and it works. I suggest if you're going to allow a drag from the text, that it too is placeable into a goal.

Or when you explain this to people you don't say 'drag the name' because it suggest you click and drag from the name, i.e the text.
