Here's an additional problem (quite severe).
I've just downloaded the version denoted as 4.0.25 for Windows but in the Settings section it says version 4.0.26. OK, this is not "the" problem, probably only a small inconsistency.
The problem is that I don't see the tasks that in the web version have the tomorrow's date! Very annoying. I've created several tasks having the scheduled date 26 Jan (tomorrow) and none of them is seen the the "Scheduled" section (nor anywhere else) in the window app. However, they are seen in the web app (after synchronization). Also, if I Search for these tomorrow's tasks inside the windows app, they are found and displayed correctly. It seems as if the tomorrow's actions are simply not shown when selecting the "Scheduled" section.
- window size, expanded groups in left menu etc are forgotten each time I close the app
- cannot restart the app using the big icon unless I first kill it from the background using the small icon also and select close
- cannot see project indicator (e.g. #ProjA) on the task line on context lists
- order of projects does not reflect the order shown in web/iPhone versions. This problem shows both on the long Projects list and on the project list within each Goal
- in the Goal lists, some projects are shown twice, both as a project and as a task
- reordering of projects within goals or in the long projects list are not remembered. The next time I revisit that list the order is the same as it was before I changed it.
But this one seems to have been permanently fixed :-)
- cannot see context indicator (e.g. @computer) on the task line on any of the lists
(But there is still the little cosmetic inconsistency that in some lists grouped by project you see both the project and the context designator on each task line, whereas if the list is grouped by context you see only the project designator.)
And I just noticed one thing that is actually better than in the web app :-): When you add new tasks to the Next list, or move tasks to it from another list, they at least land consistently at the very top, which is better than in the web app, where they land pseudorandomly or at the bottom. But it really needs to be priority based again, ideally with manual adjustment.

Update re 4.0.28
Cannot see one change: The long project list is now initially in the same order as in the other apps, and can be rearranged (permanently). But if I try to reorder projects within a goal (which still does not stick) then the long list gets disrupted, even across to the web app.
The rest of the issues remain:
- window size, expanded groups in left menu etc are forgotten each time I close the app
- cannot restart the app using the big icon unless I first kill it from the background using the small icon also and select close
- cannot see project indicator (e.g. #ProjA) on the task line on context lists
- order of projects within a Goal does not reflect the order shown in web/iPhone versions.
- in the Goal lists, some projects are shown twice, both as a project and as a task
- reordering of projects within goals are not remembered (but causes disruption of the long projects list)
