FWIW; I am using Windows 7:
I have noticed the exact same problem, and I have found a workaround. It appears that Doit does not close properly when you close it, so when you click the start icon again nothing happens because it is already running in the background.
In Windows 7 Doit also has a second, much smaller, icon hidden in the extension field to the bottom-right toolbar (where the clock is etc). You can right-click and "kill" the app properly from there, or you can reopen it.
Hope that helps until they find and fix the bug.
Tell me how I can further debug and help you provide a fix for this.
Thanks,
Jeff Weiss

@Folke
I see. In the Windows task bar.
OK I'll close it that way and see if it is more reliable.
No word back yet on this from the Dev team. -
