Hi,
Sorry for late response.
1. Now it will not sync back if you create a task in doit.im and change the time in GCal.
2. When you put the task which is synced from GCal to Someday in Doit.im, the task will disappear in GCal. It still not be showed in GCal when you put the task back to Today. You want to see the task in GCal,right?
Best regards,

I would like to manage my tasks and projects with Doit.im while using Google calendar to reschedule tasks on the fly during the day. For example, if I've created a task "read manual for 30 minutes" I would like to simply create it as an all-day task in Doit.im and then drag and drop it into a specific time frame in google calendar while keeping it synchronized within Doit.im.
However, when I create a task in doit.im and change the time in GCal, it doesn't sync back.
So far so good, there's a workaround. I create an event in google calendar which is then synchronized in doit.im as a task. I can now add the task to the apropriate project/context etc in doit.im. When I change the task's time in GCal it synchronizes perfectly. When I move the task from today to tomorrow in Doit.im it synchronizes perfectly to GCal.
When I put the task into Someday, Next or Waiting it disappears in GCal (which makes sense since it is not scheduled for a specific day).
HOWEVER, the problem is the following: After putting a task that was until now synchronized smoothly with GCal into someday, next or waiting in Doit.im the task/event is "unlinked". Meaning that when I now put the same task into today, tomorrow or a specific date it DOES NOT show up in GCal anymore.
I was unable to fix this issue, yet if there was a solution it would allow for a full implementation of GTD. Right now I find the calendar function built into Doit.im insufficient for on-the-fly rescheduling of events. Also, there's no calendar function on the doit.im iphone app so rescheduling would have to be done manually task by task which is impractical.
Thank you for a great app and the great support. If you can solve this issue for me you'll have a raving fan.
Best regards.

Thank you for your response.
Correct, the task is synchronized when added in GCal as long as I keep it in Today, Tomorrow or Scheduled in Doit.im. If I categorize it as someday or next it disappears in GCal, which makes sense. If I then schedule it for today, tomorrow or another specific day in Doit.im it does not re-appear in GCal and the synchronization does not work anymore. -

Hi,
When you put the task which is synced from GCal to Someday in Doit.im, the task will disappear in GCal. It will be showed in doit.im calendar in GCal when you put the task back to Today. In this way, the task is regarded as Doit.im tasks. -

Thank you, I tested this and it works.
Of course, it would be even better if the task remained a GCal task since then further changes in GCal would also sync back to Doit.im.
I understand that this is probably not possible due to limitations put into place by google.

Hi,
Thank you for your understanding. We will do a research on this issue later to check if we can make it.
