Hi,
To add subtasks simply click "Add a subtask" on the view task page. Please check out the image tutorial here:
http://faq.doit.im/mac.html#86
Did you do it like this? Could you edit the task when you can not add new subtasks?
Could you please tell me the OS of you Mac?
Best regards,
Doit.im Team
On my iMac, I add a task into the inbox, Double-click it to open and there I see that I should be able to add a sub task. But I cannot write anything in there.
This happened yesterday as well. I shut the program off and restarted it and then it worked. Today, I am still having this problem and shutting the program off and restarting it doesn't help.
I have also tried logging out and back in and it still doesn't work.
I can add subtasks in the online version.
Let me know if I am doing something wrong. If it's a bug hopefully you can fix it quickly.

No, that doesn't work unfortunately.
The OS is: Software OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)
I've tried shutting off and turning the program, logging out and back in. Nothing works.

Is this a bug in general or is this only a problem for me?
When do you expect that this will be resolved? -

I have just e-mailed you the log file that you requested.
This has really been dragging on. I really don't want to have to start looking for another solution. -
