@Jgoldman
Hi,
Could you please tell me why? You can use Tag filter to view the tasks with specific tags.
BTW,on the task list page,we suggest that you should pay attention to the task title.
Thank you for your support!
Best regards,

The main reason why I personally avoid using tags now is lack of trust (in myself). The fact that I cannot see the tags in the list makes it totally impractical to verify that my tasks are correctly tagged. It is simply not realistic to open each and every task to check this during each review. And if I cannot trust my tagging, then I cannot trust my filtering either, and simply cannot dare to use tags for anything important.
You say that you can filter by tag. Well, yes, you can, but not in a way that lets you verify the tagging. I would need NOT filtering to make sure that there are no tasks that are missing a certain tag that they should have had. For example, if I have a Mary tag for tasks that I need to do together with Mary, then as it is now I can use the tag filter to see tasks tagged Mary and make sure that I have not applied the Mary tag to tasks that should not have had it. But I also want to double-check the opposite and more important case - that I have not forgotten to apply the Mary tag to any tasks that should have it. This I cannot do unless I have either a NOT filter or visible tags or both. With visible tags I could quickly review my whole list, task by task without having to open them, and make sure that each task is tagged appropriately - that all tags are correct. (The NOT filter would still be extremely useful, especially for its normal everyday use to eliminate tasks from the Next list that at this moment are temporarily unavailable/impossible/irrelevant.) -

Wendy explained it perfectly.
I have the same needs and concerns. I cannot trust the tags because I cannot easily verify that they are correct.
I also agree with the other points that she made.
Thank you,

I would like to have similar tags like labels on Github (see attachment):
full of colors and tag close to task title
@wendy_only
Does the team has any plans related to improvements of tags?
