You have been promising an export feature for may years now, and you have not provided it. I am leaving Doit.Im now because of this fact only. I have to tell you as I leave that you are missing the fundamental value of your product. The value of your product is not in the fact that you control and hold onto our data. The value is that you have a system that will take our data and manipulate it and process it in a user friendly way. If I was able to export my data I would pay for your service knowing that as my data builds in your system I would be able to take it out some day if I needed to for one reason or another. The fact that you don't do this makes long time users more and more likely to want to leave you because those users give you more and more of their data knowing that they cannot get it back from you if you go out of business or if you start charging huge fees or simply because we decide to use another system in the future. I urge you to start thinking about what your value is differently. Your value is in the processing and organizing of OUR data for us. It's not in the holding on to our data as if you were scared we were going to leave you so you won't let go. I'm very serious when I say that I would pay you to use your service if only I knew I could leave freely rather than being a slave. As a slave I want to escape. As a free man I'm willing to stay. Please contact me if you ever create an export feature for your users data. Thanks for reading this.

I need to back up my data to a place that I control, whether that's my GDrive or an external HD on my PC, etc. This is a best practice and really a requirement for anyone who would use a program like Doit seriously (i.e., someone willing to pay for it). The fact that you don't provide export (for backup) makes your service a nonstarter. I already have paid for Doit and I think it's otherwise great. But there are also excellent web-based competitors out there who mostly continue to evolve, like Remember the Milk, Todoist, Asana, Nirvana, GQueues, Nozbe, and Wunderlist. Most or all of those allow export. You are limiting your future as a business by not being competitive.

What a nightmare.... I had to click on every task and select "Copy Title", then paste it into excel... NO EXPORT FEATURE !!!
This is ridiculous...
Looking for other alternatives now....
Thanks,

I also agree with how important this feature is and it has been promised for many years. Unlike ARCHIGUS, I have been a paying member for a couple of years now and I'm happy with the interface and ease of use. I am however very nervous that I there is no backup or export feature. The export feature can also serve as a great way to communicate or archive tasks for Non DoIT users. Please set expectations correctly and communicate a timeline on when this feature will be available. I'm sure many of your users (including me) will be very happy.

@mmilia01,
Totally agree with you.
After two years as a premium user I've left the app for this same reason. If doit targets business people and managers, it should give export feature. This is not serious.
