I think that in order to be of any significant use within the app itself, the trigger list in Doit itself should actually be a list of fully defined tasks, complete with tags, context, project and everything, so that you can just click the ones you want to put on your Today list. This would be very useful for all kinds of intermittently recurring tasks that cannot be scheduled, e.g. to do laundry.
Alternatively, there could be a "clone to today" command - you could then have your trigger lists as Someday projects, and click-select multiple tasks as usual, and then issue the "clone to Today" command e.g. from the right-click menu.
As for other kinds of generic trigger lists, intended more to mentally jog your brain, they could sit in the help section or anywhere on the internet or on your desk, not necessarily in Doit. Just my 2 cents.
