Continued... Similar to NirvanaHQ view. 1 click and I view only the role or Area of Responsibility. Not as a tag either but as a separate button.
Would it be better to create Areas of Responsibilities or Roles as Context or Tags?

Like Contexts or Tags? Or as Goals, maybe?
It depends what you want to do with these areas. None of the existing features is particularly suited. Basically you cannot do much at all in terms of "areas" with any of the present features.
I think the Goals feature is the most correct way in principle to deal with areas. A Goal in Doit can serve as an umbrella for a number of projects in that area. And that's what areas "are". But unfortunately, there is no useful functionality to support the use of the Goals in any way at all. Some missing features are listed here: http://help.doit.im/topics/3491
You can use Contexts or Tags, too, as areas, but there is an important caveat. Tags and Contexts cannot be inherited to tasks and generally cannot even applied to the projects or goals to which you would like to apply these area tags. This means you will have to mark every single task with one extra item. Not for me. And Tags you may also want to avoid because you cannot even see them in the list, so they feel a bit "dangerous" to use. And the Contexts are probably more useful for true Contexts than as areas. So I recommend Goals.
@wendy_only Do you have any information on planned features relating to Goals? -
