Hi,
Please tell me the email address which you use to send the email to Doit.im email address. If you use email client to send the email,please tell me the name as well.
Could you please try to send email using Gmail on web version to check if it is right?

I got same problem but I got 4 duplicate emails.
Mail was sent by webservice of mailserver. Hope you resolve this problem quickly. -

I am having the same problem, with emailed task duplicating. Not when sending a normal email, but when I use the background send feature in Drafts app (sender in that case is drafts-mail@agiletortoise.com)

If I forward an email from my gmail address, it only shows up once in my Doit inbox. However, if I send an email via the Drafts app (using my gmail address) it shows up twice in my Doit inbox.
I also use a service called If This Then That (IFTTT) which, like the Drafts app, will send emails in the background - again using my gmail address. Using this service to send emails to my Doit inbox I also get duplicates.
If I check the sent folder in my gmail account, it only shows that the email was sent once.

another note,
using the same method (Drafts app, IFTTT) I also send emails to my Evernote account. I don't seem to experience any duplicates when I open Evernote. -

I have this exact issue, if I send from outlook I get two tasks, if I send from gmail I get one task. Was there a resolution to this?

Thank you very much for all your feedback! The collection of all these data together is of real importance to us.
We've tested and found that these problems are mainly caused by the mail apps while Evernote may have already worked on removing the duplicates. Now we have a specific plan. We'll solve the problem after we release our four phone versions listed in our development plan (see here http://enblog.doit.im/post/155699937251/announcing-our-development-plan-for-the-first-half).

Thanks for the update however the email feature is now giving me 4 task for every email I send to outlook which makes this feature not very useful. Any idea one when we can expect this issue to be resolved? I reviewed the link you provided and it does not provide any detail on when this bug will be resolved.

Thank you for your telling us the details!
We've tested by sending to task mailbox via www.outlook.com and it works well. Could you answer the following questions so that we may better help you:
1. Do you mean you send mail to your task mailbox through outlook, and then get four same tasks in your Inbox in Doit.im?
2. Do you use Outlook client?
3. Which mail server do you use? Outlook in Office? Or Windows Outlook Express?

@Kassy If I use gmail I have no issues.
Here are the details of the issue:
- Operating system OXS
- Outlook Client YES - Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011 ver 14.7.0
- Email from Outlook client to my doit email address
- I get duplicate tasks in my DOIT Inbox (sometimes 2 duplicates, last test had 4 duplicates)
- When I email from my outlook client to my gmail I only get one email

Update on the issue. I have upgraded to Office 360 and the duplicate task issue continues when using the email client. If I use the Outlook webmail then only one task is created.
