I have no objection :-)
But actually there are lots of task characteristics, not just the timing aspects you mentioned, that could be implemented perhaps more robustly and flexibly by the individual user with the Tags feature, if only:
- if the tasks' Tags were visible on the lists (otherwise you cannot verify your tagging conveniently enough)
- if you could exclude (hide; not only include/show) selected Tags when using the quick list filter and advanced saved filter
You could then define tags for "can be done only in the late morning" or "requires total silence" etc etc. and then either filter/show tasks with such attributes, or filter/exclude them e.g. if it is noisy or if it is already late afternoon.
I am using Doit.im very regularly and it is extremely convenient !
When I quick add an event, I often want to specify an approximate time : 6am or noon or 7pm. i.e. things I do before work, at the lunch break, or after work. I'd like to be able to specify this time during quick add. Either with a button, or with a sign right after the date (-, =, +) for example.
What do you guys thing about that ?
Best,
Eric

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
We have the plan to make Smart Add smarter.
Sorry that I could not understand you well. Could you please tell me how we should set the start time to the task when you set after 6am?
Best regards,
Doit.im Team

Hi, thanks for your answer.
For example, if I write a task for Today, quick add with write : "^Today"
I suggest that appending a - (early morning), = (noon) or + to the date would set a start time : 6am, noon, 8pm.
Example:
"Check emails ^Today+" would add a task starting today at 8pm

@thewallfishgtd
Hi,
Thank you for your example.
Do you mean that you want to have more time option in Smart Add which will make it convenient to you to set start time?
We will consider it seriously. We want to make Smart add smarter.
Best regards,
Doit.im Team

Hi,
indeed that's what I meant.
I also suggested that 3 different start times should be very easy to set up (e.g. should appear on top of a combo box) because they are meaningfull : early, noon; late. Why not letting each user decide in the parameter section what this means (early = 5am for me, 7am for someone else).
Best,
Eric
