Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
If the list is supported manual sorting, the new added task will land at the bottom.
If it is not supported manual sorting, the list has its sorting rule. When the task is added to the list,it will be sorted according to the sorting rule of the list.
Why we make that the old tasks will be displayed before the new tasks? We want you to pay attention to the old ones. We hope that you will not leave the old ones in your task list too long time. If every time you add new tasks, and only do the newest one,the old ones will be left there longer. When you scroll the lost from the old one to the newest one,and find that the newest one is more important than the old ones, you can manual sort the task, putting the newest to the top of the list.
Shall you need any help or have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me back.
Best regards,
Doit.im Team
(If the list is grouped in some way, the new task should be visible at the top of any such group that the task may belong to.)
Currently, tasks can land almost anywhere on the list, which is extremely confusing, or can often land at the bottom, which is also very bad. For example, I often miss tasks that have landed at the bottom of my Next list and often notice them only much later, which can sometimes be very serious.
To have tasks CONSISTENTLY land at the TOP is natural for several reasons:
- you notice them straight away when you visit that list
- you do not need to scroll down to the bottom to check for anything new
- new tasks are often more important than old tasks, and need to be done sooner (if the old ones had been more important you would have done them already, so the ones that are still left are usually less important)
- it is natural to keep important and recent things higher up where you can see them (the older and less important things you are probably sufficiently aware of already, because you have seen them many times, and you can always scroll down if you want to refresh your memory)
- overall it is both SAFER and more convenient to have tasks land on top

I respect your opinion. Some people feel they have a "duty" to do older things first and get rid of them. Many others feel they will do the most important things first, and those are very seldom the old ones. On the contrary, if they had been important they would have been done already..
Will you please consider making this a user option under Settings? I know many people see it the way I do. And many probably see it the way you do, too. -

@wendy_only
Thank you :-)
This is very important to many of us, and few are totally neutral, so a user preference setting is probably the only "safe" way. I am glad you will consider it seriously.
