Would it be possible to add more 'Focus' categories? In particular, I think the following two categories would be really useful:
1. "Now" -- this focus would allow me to have things that I really want to do now, but which I do not want to link to today's date by putting in a due date. In a way, it's like "Next", only more imminent. It will let me have a small group of the "Next" tasks that are ready to start as soon as possible. I noticed that the star and lightning bolt *could* work this way - they could put tasks into the "now" category without explicitly putting a date on the task (but they don't work this way right now because they change the due date to today's date). By having a "now" category, it would mean that if I slip and do not finish a task today, it is on my "now" list for tomorrow and does not look like it is overdue. I have many tasks that work like this - they do not become overdue, they just haven't been done yet, and it is humiliating to constantly get feedback from software that I have failed a task (and it is now overdue) when I have not really failed - I have just postponed it.
2. "Next 7 Days" -- this focus would display all the tasks that have a due date in the next 7 days, or are marked as "Now". They should appear in the following groupings: Today, Now, Tomorrow, and then the next 5 days after tomorrow each in its own category. I saw another software, todoist, that does this quite nicely but unfortunately, it does not have "next", "someday" or "waiting" and so is not as great as doit.
