I avoid using tags, simply because I cannot see them and therefore cannot trust my tagging to be correct. It is too much work to open each task to double-check its tagging.
Why not show the tags for each task row in the taskslist?

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback!
We hope you to pay more attention to the task itself. If we show the tags on the task bar, there will be too much information. Much information will also make you anxious possibly. There is not so much space on the task bar for this on the mobile apps. So sorry that it has not been in our developing plan yet.
Shall you need any help or have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me back.
Thank you for your support!
Best regards,

You could always have a "detailed mode" and a "brief mode" for the display.
Or separate preference settings for each thing that some people want to see and others don't - for example a setting for whether to show rags or not, and whether the regroup options should be a menu (requiring two clicks) or as discrete buttons (a small toolbar with several buttons; one click only).
I am not afraid of having lots of useful information and options in front of me. I hate it more to have to work a lot to find what I want. -

And, most importantly - better to say this again - if we cannot see the tags we cannot check (easily enough) whether the tasks are tagged as they should. This means we cannot trust the tagging and therefore will gradually use them less and less (use tag filtering less and less and even apply tags less and less). And the end effect is that "Doit does not have tags" - which is not technically true, but totally true in practice. I do not use tags in Doit. But I would love to if I could trust and double-check my tagging.
