Today overdue # shows a different number on laptop than it does on Galaxy phone

When I look at my total tasks that are overdue today compared to the total tasks I have for today - I get a different overdue number on my lap top (2:16) than I do on my Galaxy phone (3:16). Why is the overdue number showing differently on different devices?
