Hi,
Thank you for your feedback!
Q: However, I don't understand it's function if there's no filters in the list of tasks for duration, tasks need to be sorted, so that I could see which of them I can do when I have 5, 15, 30 min or one hour. Maybe it can be simplified for sortition to display like it displays for priority (I mean to choose - 5,15, 30, 1h or 2, 20, 45 min, but not set for every task manually). Because it's important in GTD - duration of tasks.
A: I agree that we need to review the duration of the tasks when we choose the task to do. Thank you for your suggestion.
Q: It would be also great if duration could be chosen in Smart Add.
A: There will be many options here for duration. Do you have any idea for this issue?
Q: And after the day planning thing, it suggests to choose tasks for today from Next, but it would be also cool if it suggested to sort the inbox like that, what is the most important. This feature (planning) would be cool for Inbox!
A: Sorry that I could not understand you well.
1. Do you mean that you want that it will suggest to choose tasks for today from Inbox?
2. You would like to plan the tasks in Inbox? You'd better process the Inbox task firstly.
Shall you need any help or have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me back.
Thank you for your support!
Best regards,
Doit.im Team
I'm vary glad to see the possibility of day planning and task duration feature in the recent update.

@wendy_only
Hi again!
"2. You would like to plan the tasks in Inbox? You'd better process the Inbox task firstly." - I meant that this feature is great for processing inbox, when you can choose when, where and how long (for examlpe) you'll do the task. to empty it quickly with some clicks, task by task)) well, that's just a suggestion. Such similar feature (like planning of the day in doit) has AnyDo, it displays tasks one by one at the certain time of the day to sort them. Very convenient.
"A: There will be many options here for duration. Do you have any idea for this issue?" - I've already suggested one solution - Maybe it can be simplified for sortition to display like it displays for priority (I mean to choose - 5,15, 30, 1h or 2, 20, 45 min, but not set for every task manually). - This way to choose duration will also save time for users, not to input manually.
Thanks for your efforts!

If you introduce a duration field I would suggest that the most useful form is simply Short, Medium and Long, with Medium being the default.
Why so simple? Partly because it takes a long time all in all to enter so much detail, that having a default is therefore essential.
Partly also because estimated durations tend to be very unreliable and not worth all the false detail. Example: How long does it take to buy a loaf of bread? Maybe a minute if you are in the next aisle, maybe an hour if you are starting out from your jacuzzi. Or maybe just half an hour - how good is your guessing? Do you even know which shop is nearest and what type of bread to look for? -

hi again! returning to the duration sorting feature. @Folke thanks for your participation )))
But still I so need this feature it would be super cool to sort all my tasks into duration so if I have for example 20 free minutes, and need to have a rest I'd take a look through all 15 minute tasks and choose the most enjoyable one, for example.
I never use the planning and reviewing feature because it takes too much time and it's never possible to know how much time you have throughout the day. Besides that, there's is no use of it. You see that you succeed if your task box is empty or half empty to the end of the day.
I attached the sorting feature pic. It would be super cool to add there sort per duration )))))))))))))
hope you consider this
