Hi,
Thank you for your feedback!
In V4 version,we offer different group by options for different views.
Could you please tell me why you need "Group by Project" in context view?
BTW,the latest Android version is 4.2.1. Please update to the latest version to enjoy better service.
Thank you for your support!
Best regards,
Doit.im Team
Can you add "Group by" in context view ( /context/ ) ?

In GTD you select task to do in few steps:
1.You filter tasks by CONTEXT (supported by doit.im)
2.You filter tasks by time you have (you can do it using tags, but it's awkward)
3.You filter tasks by energy you have (not supported in doit.im)
4.You filter tasks by priority (in doit.im there are 3 priorities but it's more usefull to order projects by priorities and then order tasks by projects)
Formally I use just step 1 and 4.
So my way is to have all tasks assigned to projects.
Projects are ordered by my priority (and evaluated every week).
When I want to choose next task to do, I go to CONTEXT view (ie. @Office), then group tasks by project and take first project (ie. #VeryBigAndUrgentPresentationForCEO - then I take first task that I can do.
And it works only in your app (so I pay ;) ) and only in android version (so I've writen to you)

Hi,
Thank you for your information.
Q: 2.You filter tasks by time you have (you can do it using tags, but it's awkward)
A: You could set estimate time to every task which is supported in Doit.im V4 versions.
Q: 3.You filter tasks by energy you have (not supported in doit.im)
A: You need evaluate the energy you have by yourself. Do you need an attribute for energy in the task information?
Q: When I want to choose next task to do, I go to CONTEXT view (ie. @Office), then group tasks by project and take first project (ie. #VeryBigAndUrgentPresentationForCEO - then I take first task that I can do.
A: 1. You use Projects to mark tasks in more kinds of priorities. It is not what we designed for. Project is muti-step tasks. When a task is too big for you to complete once, you could convert it to a project to manage your tasks.
2. You'd better do the tasks in Today before in Next.
3. You'd better create filters to filter the task in one CONTEXT and grouped by Project.
Shall you need any help or have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me back.
Thank you for your support!
Best regards,

Hi,
about the energy I agree :)
about projects - I use project when task is to big (then I convert task to project).
As a project I see; "learn to kite-surf", "make product strategy presentation", itc..
