Hi there, I'd really like to see the option to reorder the tasks in my Today list, so that I can plan out what my day looks like. I see that this functionality has been added to tasks within a project, which is great, however the list which I spend most of my time looking at is what needs to get done today.
A work around is to assign a priority to all the current tasks, but in order to change the order of just one task, I have to assign a priority to *every single task*
This would be a huge addition.

This is a very frequent request, and I agree. The today list would be probably one of the single most logical places to have manual sorting in the whole app.
I assume the developers are afraid to introduce too many buttons and choices, which might confuse some users. There could be an ungrouped mode (entirely manual), of course, just one extra choice, but if you want to have all the existing grouping options (group by context, deadline etc) and in addition be able to decide what sorting you would prefer under those groups, then I guess it might get a bit complicated.
I assume one way would be to let users define their favorite grouping, sorting and sub-sorting principles for each list under settings and then simply have a few buttons at the top of each list for quickly alternating between these user-adapted views.
