Yes, dangerous! It disappeared completely! But I actually found it again. The project had been renamed to an arbitrary name, but when I found it under that strange name under Inactive, it was possible to reactivate it. Pooh.

Hi,
Here are three ways for you to deactivate a project:
1.You can deactivate an active project by directly changing its start time. As long as you change its start time into Tomorrow, Scheduled, it will be an inactive project. And when it expires, it will be activated automatically.
2.In the project list on the right, right click on the project and select "Deactivate" button.
3.Hover the mouse over a project in the left-side menu and a gear-shaped icon will appear. Click on that icon and you can select "Inactive".

Did you try the ways?

@wendy_only
Yes, I see, but did you observe that there is a bug there? When you "Deactivate" a project it gets a new random name! -

@Folke
Hi,
Could you please make a screenshot and send it to me by private comments?
Please tell me the original name and the random name of the projects.
Best regards,

Sorry, I do not dare to use it anymore ;-) It nearly scared me to death; I thought I had lost a whole project. So please try it yourselves.
It happened on the main projects list (after clicking the PROJECTS heading in the left menu), when right-clicking a project and selecting Deactivate. -

Same here. I found the project. but it had the content of a task of another project. very strange and scary.

@wendy_only I inactivated a project. The project was moved to Inactive but became different content ( not subtasks ). The content was the content of the last task I edited.
