Ah - regarding the title of this request - another solution to this might be adding a small popup showing upon hitting the back key - 'are you sure you want to discard new task'.
'are you sure you want to discard new task' - to avoid accidental backing out and data loss
Hi, I'd like to propose a tiny feature that would save users a lot of re-typing.
Quite often I accidentally hit back button (capacitive on-screen key) while adding notes to a new task. In such case all notes are lost and I have to re-type them (which is a pain using the on-screen keyboard). If I have just tapped out a lot of notes and ideas there - bam! data loss and I can't even remember most of it.
So:
- In the 'add new task' window of the android app, there are three buttons: 'cancel', 'send' and 'save'. Hitting the back key at this point (in other words - before the task is ever 'saved') defaults to 'cancel' and the whole task is discarded, which causes accidental data loss. It should default to 'save', so even if the user hits back key accidentally, the task still gets saved along with all the notes and the user can find it in 'today' (default task save location).
