@gojida
Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
We plan to add focus option to filter. In this way, you can create a filter to see the tasks which you want. How do you think about this?
Shall you need any help or have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me back.
Thank you for your support!
Best regards,
Doit.im Team
Is it possible to make the tag option persistent between screens?
Scenario:
1. In 'Today', I chose 'Tag-1'
2. Switching to 'Waiting for', I have to choose 'Tag-1' again
3. Switching back to 'Today', choose 'Tag-1' another time
My usage is to tag action items with different focus, besides 'Context', 'Projects' and 'Priority'. From time to time, I want to navigate through task lists, projects and contexts by having the right 'focus' which is the tag I'm using for. It is cumbersome for me to 're-focus' from screen to screen.
You may have other alternatives to accomplish this effect. Please advise.

I think @wendy_only is talking about "focus" = "box" and the ability to use this in the advanced filter. That will definitely be an improvement.
I think @gojida is talking about "focus" in a more general sense = "whatever I have chosen to implement Tags for in order to be able to filter my list" and is referring to the "quick filter" (clicking the tags on the tag bar).
I agree that a persistent quick filter - or an freeze/engage/disengage toggle for the tag filter - would be an advantage. It would be particularly useful if also an exclusion filter (NOT filter) were implemented in this quick filter. This would allow me, after my morning review (list scan), to exclude everything that is not possible to do today (or this morning), for example exclude errands if the weather forecast says it will be raining today, exclude Peter if he is away on a trip, exclude calls if I have a sore throat etc.
Yet another way of implementing something a little bit similar, also quite useful for some, would be to have the ability to persistently limit the scope to a given Goal. This would allow people to not only organize their projects under different Goals (Areas etc) (as we already can do today) but also to limit the whole Next, Today, Waiting lists etc etc to this Goal (e.g. Home vs Work). Yet another very simple and useful feature would be to have the option to Group by Goal (without hiding any Goals).
None of the above suggestions exclude any of the other suggestions. They are all useful and could all be implemented at the same time or independently of each other. -

hi,
I've no specific idea of the solution. But Folke is right that I'm looking for way to keep my 'focus', in general sense, when switching among screens. If the focus option filter is persistent from screen to screen, it suites my need.
